KIDS ACTIVITIES *all activities must be parent supervised
Facilitated by Tamara Boivin with Zumba Fitness
This high-energy dance fitness-party is packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and music everyone can enjoy. We will dance to rhythms from around the world. Zumba Kids increases focus and self-confidence, boosting metabolism and enhancing coordination, etc (much much more). Everyone is welcome to join in on this fun.
1:30pm – Hula Hoop Tricks
Facilitated by Firefairy (Lori Bothwell) with Firefairy Hoops
Give Hula Hooping a fun spin! This class teaches children and adults of all ages the fun of spinning a hula hoop. Beginners and those with experience will be shown hula hoop tricks and techniques to get your body moving and grooving to fun music. Basic waist hooping will be taught along with colourful and unique tricks that different levels and ages will find easy and fun to do indoors or outside all summer long. Some tricks to be explored will be hand spins & tosses, weaves, turns and techniques to razzle and dazzle your friends and family.
Hula hoops of different sizes and shapes will be provided. Please dress in fitness clothing and bring a water bottle!
Facilitated by Karen Berry with Kmotion Dance & Move
Sweat and smile as you learn some of the diggin-est moves and explore the basics of creative dance (shape, form, musicality).
In this movement workshop, Miss Karebear facilitates several engaging and fun movement games for girls and boys of all ages, and a follow the leader style class into some cool choreography. Participants are free to jump in when and as they please. Then we put all our dance moves together and bust into a super-sparkle dance party.
