YOUR “Street Food” MENU
SIZE OF SERVING:
To ensure our food enthusiast attendees can get a “taste” of all the offerings from ALL of our selected onsite food service retailers, it is mandatory that your event “MENU” consist of portions that are:
a) Much larger than a standard sample
b) Definitely not a full meal
We are suggesting that you plan your servings based on a 6-inch plate.
COST PER SERVING:
Although we recognize that the cost of each menu item will vary, we encourage all you to offer items that are at a reasonable price so that our food lovers can munch on oodles of eats! For example: $3.00 to $7.00. However, this is not set in stone as you know your food cost botton-line and have full control over your pricing.
PLANNING YOUR MENU:
When planning your menu:
1) It is very important that you consider all food handling and food safety elements when preparing and serving in an off-site INDOOR setting. Rest assured, we are working closely with AHS to ensure all your ducks are in a row!
2) Your cooking method has to be carefully considered for an INDOOR environment (review the cooking methods above)
3) You also want to plan to “sell out” rather than “throw out” — which at this juncture is hard to determine. However, our YYC Foodies Team will keep you informed on ticket sales and projected attendance closer to the event date.
We also encourage you to revisit these links to review the AHS guidelines and requirements.
